"Well--Long story." Mako began, placing his hand on the back of his scalp. "I was driving home when all of a sudden I spotted this little guy. I didn't see any collars or anything, so I brought him home." Once he was finished, a relief feeling came into place, knowing that Yue took interest in the small puppy. Mako's arm was wrapped around Yue's shoulder while she held the animal in her presence. "I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep him--Either way, he looked like he needed some food and shelter." His words were finished when all of a sudden a gleam formed in his eyes. "Yue-- What are you making? It smells delicious!"
“Well he is staying here with us, aren’t you little guy?” She kissed the dog’s head then walked toward the kitchen with him close to her. “I think I’ll name him…Ruddy.” Placing him on the ground, Yue watched as he began to run around happily, exploring. Her attention returned to Mako at his words. “What? Oh! I’m making roast duck with a sweet chili sauce. Then I’m broiling some sea cucumbers.” She said, walking to him then hugging him close. “Does that sound alright for dinner, sweetie?”
Oh--Great. Seriously. The working shift was alsmot entirely over, in which relieved the male. A hard day's work outside of his home and life was tiring--fighting crime and such. Once Mako placed his hands onto the steering wheel of the vehicle, he breathed, and exhaled immediately after. We're almost home... I can eat and rest with my beautiful fiancee. But--Something took him off guard. There was a incredibly small puppy across the sidelines of the walkway. It distracted him as it lead to him hopping out of the car and walking straight the the stray animal.
Of course, dogs couldn't speak, but he couldn't help himself but talk to the animal anyway. "Hey--You're lost, aren't you?" As he could see, Mako couldn't find any collars or tags. All he knew was that this breed was a Mountain Husky. How could have he ran all the way from there to here in time? It must've traveled for several days... That was terrible. The young adult scooped the puppy into his arms, placing him on the passenger's seat on his right. Once he returned home, he held the puppy in expose. "Yue--I brought someone home."
A bright smile came to the girl’s face at the sound of the door being opened, knowing exactly who it was. However that smile disappeared with Mako’s words. He brought someone home? “I swear to the spirits, Mako, if it’s another one of your work friends he is going ho-” Yue turned and her jaw dropped. “I-Is that a puppy?” She put down the spoon that she was using to stir the sauce, moving over to her soon-to-be husband who was holding a little creature. “I-Is that a Mountain Husky?!” Once she reached his side, her arms immediately wrapped around the little puppy and held her to her chest. “He is adorable…Where did you get him? Oh he reminds me of home!”

It had been the perfect day. A nice cool day that had the sun shining down on the shining city. However that day was slowly coming to an end and people were leaving work to return home to their families. Yue knew that Mako would be home shortly so she was making him a big dinner. They had been living together for about four months now so they might as well celebrate. She was making roasted duck with a sweet chili sauce and cut broiled sea cucumbers on the side. It was a perfect mix of their Fire Nation and Water Tribe cultures. Standing near the stove, the waterbender quietly sang to herself as she began to make the sweet sauce to go over the duck- that was in the oven. Being that she didn’t leave the house all day, she had her long hair down and only wore one of Mako’s shirts, and his scarf around her waist.

// Can we roleplay this, please?! xD//OF COURSE
// DO you want to start or me?
Yue grinned against his lips, savoring the feel of his lips on hers. One of her hands slid up into his hair where she gripped it gently. She there for along time, kissing him and holding him. Soon though, and reluctantly, she pulled away to breathe. “Spirits..” She breathed, gazing up at him.
Yue was quiet as Mako spoke, not wanting to interrupt him as he spoke. But once he kissed her cheek, she laughed a little bit. “Well, if you love me, give me a real kiss.” Grinning, she leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. This time it was more full of passionate feelings and love, her arms pulling him against her.
//shelby everyone loves your angst writing you should be proud of yourself woman
//OMG. I was crying while writing that and I even gave myself a headache.
Yue placed a hand on the back of his head, her other hand rubbing his back in soothing circles. “Shh…I’m not going anywhere, sweetie. I promise.” She kissed his head softly then began to hum, trying to sooth and comfort him.
